★10 different kinds of food you like.★

1. Rice
Coming from an Asian and Pacific Islander/Polynesian background, there really isn't a way to break from its sticky white grasp~
2. Japanese Curry
There is something different about this particular type of curry, it almost has a sweet undertone to it.

3.Cherries
Cherries are one of my favorite fruits. My favorite way to eat them are just plain or in a fruit salad along with honeydew melon and dragon fruit.

4. Matcha Roll Cake
First had this as a child when my grandmother brought some with her from Japan. Since then, I've always been intrigued by green tea flavored things but this would have to be my favorite.
5.Poke(po-keh)
After arriving in Hawaii I saw this stuff everywhere. It looked very similar to sashimi so I thought I would try it. This stuff is sooo delicious~ my favorites would be ahi limu and onion tako~
6. Karamucho Chips
Spicy little potato sticks~ the taste is almost like a cross between barbeque and kimchi flavor.

7.Sushi
So Delicious~ favorite ones would be Ebi,Inari,Maguro and Ika~

8.Taiyaki
Taiyaki is a fish shaped fried sandwich type sweet usually filled with azuki bean paste. Our old taiyaki press broke and I've been looking for this Magikarp one for quite some time with no luck...

9. Shave Ice
Nothing cools off a hot day in Hawaii better than shave ice. The best way to eat these flavorful globs of ice is with ice cream, azuki bean paste and topped off with sweetened condensed milk.

10.Mont Blanc
Macarons and an assortment of cakes seem to dominate the Lolita sweets preference leaving this little guy in the back of the glass case. This things are absolutely delicious~ I first tried them in Japan and was hooked. Luckily there is a bakeshop around here that has them from time to time.

Until next time,

  1. Delicious! Stop, you are making me miss Hawaii food so much. ; ^ ;

Tako poke is the best~ I tried a Japanese kind here that was more sweet, with ginger! They called is "Octopus salad" but I was like "Fool this is poke =/".
